Meet the Principal
Robert Atchison
My name is Robert Atchison, Principal of Sheffield Elementary. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University San Marcos and a Master of Educational Administration from Texas Woman’s University.
I’m honored to have spent my entire educational career in Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD. I’ve taught at Thompson Elementary and Kent Elementary. I was the assistant principal at McLaughlin-Strickland Elementary and the principal at Central and Thompson Elementary prior to becoming the principal here at Sheffield.
I am the husband to Jennifer, and the father of three amazing kids, Ethan, Ella, and Marilynn. Faith and family are two of my driving forces and provide me with my guiding light. I am a passion driven educator committed to inspiring others to unlock their full potential. Since I was a young kid I have been inspired by great educators and driven towards the profession.
We are here to serve your children, through an active staff and parent partnership, to achieve their potential in elementary school. It truly takes each of us working together to ensure they get all they need to be their very best! I’m overjoyed to have the opportunity to help lead Sheffield Elementary as the principal and to continue my life’s work with our excellent students, parents, staff, and community!
