Chromebook Return May 18th

On May 18th and May 19th, 3rd-5th grade students will bring their charged Chromebook to the library, open and on. Each Chromebook will be evaluated, and if necessary, fees will be assigned. Chargers need to be wrapped neatly and, if possible, have the name removed. 

 The Chromebook Cleaning Checklist

Before Monday, May 18th make sure to check for these common culprits:

• Personal Stickers: Carefully peel them back. If they are stubborn, a plastic card (like a library card) can help scrape them up without scratching the plastic.
• Sticky Residue: This is the hardest part. A tiny bit of isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher) on a microfiber cloth usually does the trick. Avoid using harsh kitchen degreasers.
• Artistic "Additions": Use a damp cloth or hand sanitizer to remove pencil, pen, or permanent marker marks.
• The Charger: Don't forget to wipe down the cord! These often get dusty or sticky after a year of use. Please remove your name, if applicable.

⚠️ What to Leave Alone

Do NOT remove the CFB Barcode on the bottom of the Chromebook.
